SURVEY CONDUCTED IN RETAIL SALES

Today's (20th July ) 9th lecture of statistics  started with a real life scenario of survey conducted in retail stores, the primary objective of the survey was to find out the customer satisfaction in retail stores before analyzing the whole scenario few assumptions were taken into consideration-

1) All stores are of the same chain.

2) Service is the primary focus of stores of same chain.

Frequency analysis of service satisfaction was done.we got the following feedback of the customer

        1) Strongly negative
        2) Somewhat negative
        3) Neutral
        4) Somewhat positive
        5) Strongly positive

After analyzing all the data we found that the highest percentage of the response of the customers was neutral
then we analyzed the data through cross-tabs. for rows we selected stores & for columns we selected service satisfaction . by formulating this data we got to know the percentage of service satisfaction of every store in the chain.then we analyzed the data through selecting cells in which we checked both rows & columns.for a single hypothesis or characteristic of every store you have to check column.
for all hypothesis of the single store you have to check single row. the learning derived from the lecture was whenever you do data mining  focus on specific solutions rather than generic solutions.
